Built in 1852 on 23 pastoral acres, The Mansouri Mansion, originally known as The Farmer's Hotel, was the first stage coach stop along the Old Indian Trail. The Flat Rock community was protected during the Civil War by the Confederate soldiers who were garrisoned at the Hotel and they have left evidence of their presence in a secret room which is still accessible today from one of the guest rooms.
