Mansouri Mansion is rated 4.8 out of 5 stars, based on 9 reviews!
If it is historic elegance that you are truly looking for, you will find it at the Mansouri Mansion. The owners strive to keep the mansion as original as possible while obtaining the mystic ambiance of days gone by at a celebrated level. Each guest room is equipped with a beautiful fireplace, a most gracious claw-footed bath tub or if you want a bit more, a jacuzzi tub. The beds are elevated at a height that royalty would have slept upon decades before. Prehaps a writer such as F. Scott Fitzgerald or his wife Zelda would have found the mansion a most inspiring place to have written a love letter or a novel. Who knows? I love this place!
Interesting and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Great speaking with Hassan
First of all, I would like to start off by saying that the reivewer from 2009 did not even exist! The INN has been shut down and locked up for nearly TWO Years! The new owner H. Mansouri is a savy business owner with excellent reviews around the world. He is in the process of renovation. As soon as the kitchen is up and running, the bar, resturant, and rooms will be once again busy with great food, laughs, beautiful weddings and banquets. T.T.
The new owner, Hasan Mansouri, has the experience and desire to offer absolutely the best service possible. He has himself travelled extensively and stayed at many of the top 5 star hotels around the world. Mansouri Mansions Hotel and The Country Club in the country of Bahrain are also owned by Hasan Mansouri. He is an honest man and will do his best to please the customer. He will need the support of the community to make this a success where all can be proud.
AWESOME! I have been coming here on and off since the mid 80 's and just returned from a visit there this weekend. The renovations are lovely while keeping the original feeling of journeying back in time. Our hosts were more than gracious and friendly. We had the room with the secret room entrance which made it really fun. Did not have dinner there but it SMELLED delicious!it is such a short drive from Columbia, SC. I really don"t think people know what an outstanding place is nestled in the mts. of Flat Rock. By the way, it is priced extremely affordably. I can't wait to go again! Am thinking with all those beautiful fireplaces it should be awesome in the winter!! Joy Gunter
We spent Oct.25 and 26, 2014 at the Mansouri Mansion. We love staying at B&B's and this one has been our most memorable stay. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room beautifully decorated with Victorian furniture. We had access to the verandah from our room with beautiful views and enjoyed it after a day of sight seeing. Anyone who loves history, times gone by and graciousness will find all these at Mansouri Mansion.
My new wife and I stayed here in early May. We were the only ones in the place. (If you can, coordinate your visit with the full moon and get a room on the end of the building.) The interior was spotless and beautifully appointed but empty, so it had this sort of melancholic feeling. I loved it, and would recommend it to anyone who can walk up stairs. This is no ordinary B&B (and we have some experience), but a VERY old and well-preserved grand hotel. Our only quibble was that there was no coffee.
